This Heavy Electronics Red Eyes Overdrive is a fantastic-sounding low-to-medium gain OD with stellar dynamic range and definition. Not only is it super responsive to guitar and pickup selection, it also does a great job  blending with your amp, rather than sounding like it's layered on top. Very nice for natural sounding, crisp, and textured breakup. It can go from a clean boost-type gain when set low, to almost fuzzy characteristics with gain to spare when set high—all while retaining impressive string definition. Add to that a tone control that lets you easily find your “sweet spot.” What's even cooler—the enclosure features an octopus decal, with dual LEDs linked to the circuit which glow on and off as you play. Too cool. This Heavy Electronics Red Eyes Overdrive is a great sounding OD with a style all its own—tonally and aesthetically.
