The MH-1 is the flagship device of LLI’s Modular line of night vision systems, serving as the primary binocular within the LLI ecosystem. This binocular is feature-rich, including a dual-mode IR illuminator, manual gain control, and smooth, intuitive controls, all wrapped in a lightweight magnesium-alloy housing.

The MH-1 shares the same pod design (tube and lens housing, excluding the battery compartment) as the MH-14. This means that each MH-1 pod can function as a standalone monocular. This modular approach makes the device highly versatile—ideal for users who may wish to pair it with a thermal monocular on occasion, while still having the ability to run a fully equipped binocular setup when needed.

The LLI ecosystem will also feature modular battery compartments, pods, and arm designs, allowing users to customize and configure their binocular to meet any operational requirement.

The Starter Kit Variant offers the follwing Componenents:

• Commercial-spec optics (compatible with all standard PVS-14 optics accessories)

• GEN 2+ white phosphor autogated tube with either 1400+ or 1600+ FOM

• MH-1 housing compatible with all Boson Sytem Proton family of products

Optics

Our commercial specification optics, used in all our starter kits, are Singaporean-made and compatible with all standard PVS-14 threaded accessories. These lenses do not meet the same MIL-PRF-A3256342A standard as Noctis/Fuji lenses but deliver similar performance across the board. They may produce a slightly less contrast-heavy image but offer an excellent performance-to-price ratio, providing a clear and sharp image that lets the image intensifier’s resolution speak for itself.

The lenses shown in the pictures are Noctis, but ComSpec lenses have a nearly identical form, with different coatings and finish. To see the exact lens and specifications, see Comspec Lense Set

Image Intensifier

The image intensifier tubes used in all our starter kits are Gen 2+ autogated, available in white or green, with either 1400–1599 FOM or 1600–1699 FOM. The autogating feature is included in all our starter kit image intensifier tubes, providing added value from the start and ensuring a long-lasting, protected device.

These are our standard-level figures of merit, offering good image amplification nearing 10,000 cd/m²/lx (sometimes more, depending on the specific tube), which is usually found in more expensive tubes. This makes for a great starting point and even a solid midrange tube, which is also compatible with multiple other housings if upgrading from a starter kit is of interest.
