Designed to handle the load when you’re carrying extra essentials, the Strapette EVO delivers unmatched comfort and control—even with 10–15 lbs of extra gear. Its rugged chest strap keeps everything secure over uneven terrain, while smart pocket organization puts your must-haves right where you need them. The Strapette EVO shoulder harness system is also compatible with our Timber EVO hybrid waist/chest pack - simply unclip the Timber's Gatekeeper hardware, remove the 38mm waistbelt and use the 4 accessory straps and buckles to fit as a chest carry rig on the Strapette EVO's triglide hardware; located on the upper vertical webbing and at the bottom where the lower sternum strap is attached (Mountainsmith suggests removing the lower sternum strap when fitting a Timber EVO as a chest carry accessory).

I’m not sure why the promotional photos show these hooks with the bent ends pointing down. To me that makes no sense, as it seems they are using them upside down. It makes more sense to me to have the bent ends point up, so the items being stored do not slide off. Additionally, the shorter bent hooks make no sent to have on the top, as they would limit how far back you could place a shovel or other tool. When using the hooks with the bent ends pointing up, you can place your lighter bulkier items on the long hooks, but then use the short hooks for those heavier items (if they fit), as that gets them closer to the magnets and will have less leverage to make the magnetic hooks fall free from the metal they are trying to be attracted to. In my example photos, you can see how the shorter hooks do not obstruct the shovels and other tools from being stored properly and the bent ends then also help to prevent the tools from sliding off the hook. Overall, I am very happy with the hooks. I’ve had a fondness for magnets since I was a kid, so I have a very realistic expectation of the limits of magnets and these magnetic hooks perform as well as I would expect.

Strong magnetic hook with only one small con

I got the four-pack of magnetic hooks and the magnets are indeed strong. You have to reasonable with how much weight you hang off of these though! The longer hooks help with holding multiple items. I've used them for shovels and rakes and they hold up just fine. The only slight con is that I wish the ends of the hooks curled up instead of down to keep items from sliding off as safety precaution. You can just turn the hook upside down but then the shorter hooks are at the bottom. They work for what I need them and can hold power tools as well. The hooks are sturdy and the magnet power is impressive.
